Thank you & a time to say good-bye
Hello Gorgeous People!
How is this silly season going for you? Actually, tell me, how has the year been?
For me it’s been an interesting one, and one I have come to realise has been filled with big learnings. About myself and about others. Many many moments of acceptance – something I have definitely learnt to be better at as I have gotten older.
As this year finishes I am not going to fall into that ‘can this year just end’ trap (although I have already a little bit I must admit). I’m going to say thanks for the life and business lessons I clearly needed, and look forward with hope and a rock solid belief that next year is going to be good and amazing and fun!
It’s time now for some raw honesty with you guys. I’ve been in my business for 3 years and for the first two years my Business Coaching has rocked my world, and that of my clients too! It has been a fantastic way that I have been able to be part of so many different journey’s. This year, however, has been different. You see all my little tigers are now all at school and that has meant five days a week working at home in my office, on my own. Peppered of course with client sessions via Skype & in person (as much as I can!). What this has made me realise, when I have had all this time, is that working alone is not for me – pretty much the only time I’ve been happy with my work this year has been when I am actually with my clients, going to events and meet ups with other business owners, or time with my mastermind buddies. You see Myers-Briggs would classify my as an ENFJ; that E means I am an extrovert that gets energy from being around other people. This is absolutely true for me, and this is something I want back in my life.
Working at home has been a gift at the right time in my life and absolutely the right choice for my small pre-school children. But they have spread their wings at their beautiful school now and it’s time for me to do the same, again.
It’s time for me to say goodbye to my one on one Business Coaching work. It’s not you it’s me 😉
From now on I will be focusing on my consulting work, working with businesses that are well established and already successful, who are looking to up-level and need a strategic business and marketing head to help them do this AND corporates who need someone to come in work on projects that need an injection of new and fresh ideas not complicated or constrained by all the ‘this is how we’ve always done it’ mindset that can sometimes permeate that corporate space. 20+ years experience plus an MBA mean this is where the sweet spot lies for me and I’ve gott say – I CAN’T WAIT!!! I’m so damn excited again it feels fantastic!
I’m not going to disappear completely though, if you still want to work with me here are some of the ways I am planning to roll next year:
My 1-day Strategic Intensives will stay. Just know that they will be very much like working with your own consultant. The intensives are intentionally built on a consulting model, not coaching. I will be listening, actively, learning all the relevant points I need to about your business and then I will be telling you what you need to do. It will be direct and to the point – no softly softly because that’s just not my style when I can see exactly what you need to do in your business to make it grow. Now, I can’t pretend there will be a little bit of coaching thrown in, if and when needed, to help with any mindset challenges you may be facing. I am a qualified life coach after all and that means I’m going to call you on your bullshit if I see resistance or self-sabotage creeping in and stopping you in your business! I have opened up FOUR spots for these intensives in the last 2 weeks of January 2017 – if you are interested and you want to start the year on a high with clarity and excitement (who the hell wouldn’t want that?!) you can book in right here.
Learning Intensives – I am going to introduce virtual learning intensives to work only with Business Owners who have an already established & successful business that has been an ongoing entity for at least two years, and who are already earning six figures, who are looking for the next level in their business – think breakthrough and innovation strategy. I have just done the most brilliant masterclass with Breanne Deck & Tara Gentile in the states that has taught me so much about the absolute best way to deliver any learning to people and I cannot wait to action all that I have learnt with these new Intensives. These will be by application only.
The School of Business Coaching. I’m going to call it like it is. I see so many people calling themselves Business Coaches who just shouldn’t. They are not qualified or experienced enough to teach people how to build a successful sustainable business. They are over promising and under delivering. So, instead of complaining about this I’ve decided to do something about it. I want to teach you the business fundamentals you need to be able to teach your clients for their own businesses if you want to be a legitimate business coach. I’ll be taking everything I have already learnt from years of experience + my actual qualifications and sharing it with you. If you think this sounds like you, and you are already working as a coach in a another field in an already successful business, and you’d like to be involved in the pilot, get in touch by replying to this email and letting me know. Once again, this will be by application only.
What I need to do, most importantly, right now is to say thank you. Thank you for being with me on this journey. I am wide awake to how privileged I am that you are still here with me and I don’t take it lightly so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope that you can be part of this next evolution of my business as much as I hope I can be part of yours.
I hope that you and your loved ones have a beautiful, warm, and loving Christmas. And if this is a stressful time for you then I am sending you love. I also wish you a rocking 2017 in your business and your life and I cannot wait to see you all again next year.
I am on holidays now from Friday 16 December – until Monday 16 January when I will be back excited and energised and ready for a big, exciting, a little bit scary and fun year in 2017. I hope you will feel the same.
With love,
Kate xo
